Pier Develops Flash-based Desktop Application Web-enabled resource CD aids Microsoft Office Live Communications Server deployment and adoption. Published Sun, Dec 31, 2006 at 12:00 AM Microsoft needed an application that would serve as a deployment and adoption kit for one of its key server products - Office Live Communications Server. With the product already in the hands of many of its customers, Microsoft wanted to deliver a follow-on resource containing all of the key assets supporting the product's features, deployment practices, and adoption techniques. In the first stage, Pier designed an interface that delivered an intuitive experience for guiding technical professionals through the complex processes of deploying Live Communication Server within their network infrastructure. Pier then developed the Flash-based desktop application that allowed Microsoft to make dynamic updates to its library of documents, web links, and presentations, as well as track and analyze usage of the product in order to provide their customers with the most timely, relevant resources they had available.
