We wanted to update you about a couple goings-on. First off, as we mentioned previously, we are headed out to Chicago for Adobe's MAX conference at the end of the month. It should be some super RIA happy fun times. We will be giving one of the O'Reilly-sponsored Ignite talks on opening night during the welcome reception. If you are going, check it out. These tend to be pretty fun shindigs.

Our talk will be a "from the trenches" look at developing in a world in beta. We'll be talking about whether developing in ColdFusion 8, Flex 3, and Adobe AIR finds you in up to your neck, or if there are some best practices to glean and some real business value gems for companies looking to leverage the power and flexibility of RIA technologies.

This is probably also a good time to mention that a couple of our guys will be presenting at the Boston ColdFusion Users Group on November 13th. We will be sharing some war stories about an enterprise AIR application that PIER has been working on for the last 8 months. So if you burn your incense on the altar of Ben Forta or if you just want to have a spirited conversation about the merits of bringing web applications to the desktop, join us there.
